This one-of-a-kind mixed-media encaustic painting was created on a vintage pancake board (a board used in the film business for placing props).  Beeswax was carved and scraped, fused, stenciled with wood filler, and back-filled with pigment to create this intriguing design.  The circle pattern has been repeated throughout the design, creating both movement and calmness.  The rusty OM seemed a perfect fit as the static bottom evolves into circles that move upward through the stable horizon and into the calming swirls.
