Sallie, the Queen Cat, was rendered in pastel, then painted with many layers of  encaustic medium to give it a soft luminous glow.  She is most definitely a Queen, so she was given a jeweled, golden crown and just the right amount of glitter to match her sparkly personality.  This encaustic painting is on an 18×18 inch, 2 inch deep cradled board with black sides.
