The playful curls of telephone wire are constrained in an orderly fashion beneath the many layers of hardened encaustic medium, then burst forth happily on the other side.   This is kind of like life, I guess…  As a child, life is free and happy, then becomes much more constrained with the responsibilites of adulthood.  Later life seems to bring a return to that carefree outlook on things and a desire to play!
